Blessings Angels Do Not Have

I recently read something very interesting written by Charles Haddon Spurgeon. He wrote: angels pray not. I have found no occasion in the Bible when any Holy angel prayed. We believers have the privilege of prayer that even Holy angels do not have, but they do serve God, praise Him and worship Him continually.

Mark 13:33: Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Luke 18:1: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Luke 21:36: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Thessalonians 5:17: Pray without ceasing.

Hebrews 4:16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We can and should share with the angels the privileges of praising God, serving Him and worshipping Him. Consider also that we have the blessing of forgiveness of sin which angels shall never have. The fallen angels will never have forgiveness and the unfallen angels will never need it. None of them will ever know the joy it is to have their sins forgiven.

Hebrews 1:5: For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

The answer is of course, none.

2 Peter 2:4: For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

We can and should share with Holy angels the privilege of serving others here on earth.

1 Peter 1:12: Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

It is interesting that some fallen angels prayed and received a temporary answer.

Luke 8:32: And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Are we enjoying and taking advantage of the blessings that even angels don*t have?
